As of Thursday (February 5) basic quality of cotton (chroma 41, leaf cuttings 4, fiber 34, Micronaire 35-36 and 43-49, strength 26.5-28.4, uniformity 81) in the seven designated markets week the average price of 45.19 cents per pound. Week average price lower than the average price of 46.60 cents last week, and year-on-year average 62.69 cents a week. Day average this week, the lowest point in the Friday (January 30) of 44.97 cents, the highest point in the Monday (February 2) of 45.33 cents.
